Buparvaquone 50mg.

Parvon injection is indicated for the prophylaxis andtreatment of theileriosis (east coast fever) caused by Theileria parva, T. annulata, T. mutans and T.orientalis in small and large animals. Theileriosis is a protozoal disease which is transmitted by ticks. Theileria sporozoites are transmitted to susceptible animals by the saliva of feeding ticks. Inside host, theileria sporozoites undergo a complex life cycle involving the replication of schizonts in leukocytes and piroplasms in erythrocytes. This process eventually leads to swelling of lymph nodes and raise the body temperature up to 42°C in the infection. Parvon injection is effective against both the schizonts and piroplasm stages of theileria species and may be used in incubation period or when the clinical signs of disease are apparent.

Administer 1ml per 20kg body weight (2.5mg Buparvaquone per kg body weight) by deep intramuscular injection only. In severe cases, further treatment with Parvon injection at the same rate should be given after 48-72 hours of initial dose.

Do not administer intravenously or subcutaneously. Localized, painless, edematous swelling may occasionally occur at the site of injection. Avoid dirty and wet areas of skin and do not administer more than 10ml to a single site. Theileriosis depresses the immune system of animals, therefor any kind of vaccination should be delayed till the complete recovery of animals. Store between 15-25°C in a cool and dry place.

Milk 48 hours, Meat 42 days.
